The therapist accompanies the person doing the work and allows them to connect to their body and stay in touch with their physical sensations.

Traditionally the therapist takes charge of people in difficulty. The therapist knows and heals, and the client is dependent upon the therapist’s abilities and knowledge. The result of the therapy relies therefore mainly on the therapist’s own knowledge and capacity to apply it.

The difference with this method of kinesiology is that it allows everyone to find their own path. The therapist helps the client to connect to their physical body and to remain connected to their sensations. The therapist is a witness. Not wanting anything, not knowing anything are the necessary requirements to allow the fragile thread of emotions to unfold correctly. The main task of the therapist is to free the patient from the resistance of their intellect while noticing their fear of expressing the emotions that lie behind physical sensations. The emotion that comes up needs to be lived through in order to understand what’s just behind it . The path is the following:

Sensation – > integration –> emotion –> integration –> understanding –> integration –> links in conscious –> integration –> NEW CHOICE

We can only access inner knowledge and make new real conscious choices thanks to this attention to our sensations, free from mental control and the narrow system of beliefs that, otherwise, tends to drive our life choices, or rather our absence of choices.

“In a sensorial approach the main difficulty is to listen to one’s sensations and body language. There is nothing to do, nothing to want, nothing to understand, just to feel physically and accept to be guided by these sensations.”
